As technology progresses, active equipment is requiring more and
more bandwidth from the physical plant. In the early days of Local
Area Networks (LANs), most network cabling was STP - Shielded Twisted
Pair, 10Base-2/Thin-net or 10Base-5/Thick-net. These types of cabling
support a range of speeds from 2Mbps through 10Mbps. In the early
1990's 10Base-T ethernet began to take off as the leading network
type, with some market share eroded by 4/16Mbps token ring.
A network can only be as good as it's foundation. The physical
layer is most important to an efficiently operating network. Unlike
other vendors that only understand the upper layer technologies,
we pride ourselves on a great overall understanding of a networks
operation.
We build cable plants based on Category 5, 5e, and 6 as well as
both singlemode and multimode fiberoptics.
Langistic Networks can provide all aspects of service in this arena
including cable infrastructure design, installation, termination,
mechanical/fusion splicing as well as cable certification.
We have relationships in place with NY State Contract cabling installers
and several union contractors to make working with Langistic Networks
simpler than ever before.
We proudly install and support products from Corning Cabling Systems,
Ortronics and Panduit.
